Pakistan Army personnel are pushing ahead with large-scale rescue efforts in flood-stricken Punjab, using helicopters and boats to pull stranded residents out of danger.
Military teams have been working around the clock in several districts, with evacuations already completed in parts of Gujranwala and Head Khanki, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Operations are still underway in Sialkot and Narowal, where rising waters have left dozens of families trapped.
Among those airlifted and ferried to safety are elderly residents, women, and children—groups particularly vulnerable during such disasters.
In partnership with local authorities, the Army has also set up relief camps across affected areas. These camps are providing emergency shelter, medical care, and basic supplies to displaced residents.
The ongoing military-led response comes as heavy monsoon rains continue to wreak havoc across Punjab, overwhelming drainage systems and forcing thousands to flee their homes.
