PM Shehbaz directs to use all resources to help people during current rain spell

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued directives to all federal and provincial departments to remain alert and use all available resources to help people during the current rain spell. The Prime Minister’s Office released a statement on Monday, stating that the National and Provincial Disaster Management Authorities should closely monitor the situation and work in coordination with each other.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of protecting and assisting the public, and urged the relevant departments to ensure that people are immediately shifted to safe areas where necessary. He also directed the National Highway Authority and other concerned departments to closely monitor inter-provincial national highways and ensure that effective arrangements are in place for traffic flow and public convenience on Quetta-Karachi highway in Lasbela and Quetta-Sibi highway in Bolan.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister stressed the need for alerting people in various highways and affected areas, and stated that the protection of life and property is the top priority. He called on all civil service departments to remain vigilant during the current rains and work with national spirit and sense of responsibility. Additionally, he appealed to the people to take precautionary measures in severe weather conditions and cooperate with the government departments.

It is hoped that these measures will help minimize the damage caused by the current rain spell and ensure that people are able to cope with the challenging weather conditions.
