Information Minister Aurangzeb Slams Imran Khan’s Record on Law and Order, Economy, and Politics

Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Marriyum Aurangzeb, has launched a scathing attack on Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), for allegedly disrupting the law and order situation in the country. Speaking at a news conference in Lahore on Sunday, Aurangzeb accused Khan of orchestrating a drama after losing power, which severely damaged the country’s foreign relations.

Aurangzeb further criticized the PTI leadership, stating that all their political stunts, including allegations of an imported government, have failed miserably. She claimed that Khan has handed over the country to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), playing with the country’s economy in the process.

The information minister also took issue with Khan’s actions in releasing an audio recording of Maryam Nawaz, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), claiming that he was attempting to link her to himself. Aurangzeb asserted that Nawaz had said nothing hateful in the audio and had not jeopardized the country’s economy, nor had she fabricated a story about a cipher.

In a direct swipe at Khan, Aurangzeb highlighted that if Nawaz were anything like him, she would have blamed him for the killing of a PML-N party worker. By contrast, Khan had exploited the tragic death of a 14-year-old boy in Gujranwala for political gain. “Imran Khan, your politics has failed,” Aurangzeb concluded.
