Eudora Mail

1. Open Eudora

2. Select "Tools"

3. Click on "Options"

4. Select "Getting Started"

5. In the "POP account" field type: userid@gem.net.pk

6. Click on "Hosts"

7. In the "POP account" field type: userid@gem.net.pk

8. In the "SMTP" field type: smtp.gem.net.pk

9. Click "OK"

File Downloading Using FTP Software

1. Click start button

2. Select Programs

3. Then Select MS-DOS Prompt

4. Type

5. C:\Windows>ftp proxy.gem.net.pk

6. Then you will see the following messages. In the user prompt type the name of the FTP site you want to connect. In the same way I have used in the example.

7. Connected to proxy.gem.net.pk

8. 220 WinGate Engine FTP Gateway ready

9. User (proxy.gem.net.pk:(none) : anonymous@ftp.microsoft.com

10. 331 Anonymous access allowed, send identity

11. ( e-mail name ) as password .

12. Password:

13. 230: 

Microsoft Outlook Express 5

1. Open Outlook Express

2. Select "Tools"

3. Click on "Account"

4. Click on "Add"

5. Select "Mail"

6. Type Your Name

7. Type Your Email Address User@gem.net.pk

8. Outgoing Mail Server : smtp.gem.net.pk

9. Incoming Mail Server : pop3.gem.net.pk

10. POP3 User Name: (your User Id)

11. Click "OK" 

Microsoft Outlook Express 6

1. Open Outlook Express

2. Select "Tools"

3. Click on "Account"

4. Click on "Add"

5. Select "Mail"

6. Type Your Name

7. Type Your Email Address User@gem.net.pk

8. Incoming Mail Server : pop3.gem.net.pk

9. POP3 User Name: (your User Id)

10. Outgoing Mail Server : smtp.gem.net.pk

11. Click "OK" 

Netscape Communicator

1. Open the browser

2. Click on "Edit"

3. Select "Preferences"

4. Double click on "Mail & Groups"

5. Click on "Mail Servers"

6. Enter the following information:

7. Outgoing Mail Server : smtp.gem.net.pk

8. Incoming Mail Server : pop3.gem.net.pk

9. POP3 User Name: (Your User Id)

10. Click "OK"
